GeoGraphix Integrates LOGarc with Discovery Suite
CALGARY, ALBERTA. (May 22, 2008) – LogTech (Canada) Ltd., a leading provider of software and data solutions to the petroleum industry, announced today that GeoGraphix has begun the integration of LogTech’s LOGarc VE log data management system with their Discovery suite of applications.Once complete, this integration will provide users of GeoGraphix software applications with fast and direct access to log data available from LOGarc VE, both digital and raster.
This is being done in response to significant customer demand from GeoGraphix and LogTech customers in the U.S. and Canada. This integration will significantly improve log data access workflow for users. Log data will able to be “called” directly from the GeoGraphix application rather than the old methodology of first going to a databasing system to locate and retrieve data then secondly loading the resulting files to the application before evaluative work could begin. Additionally, LOGarc licensees who also subscribe to LogTech’s public Canadian database of over 8,500,000 high quality curves will have concurrent access to data from both sources, theirs and ours. LogTech will keep customers updated on development progress.
Today more than 200 companies are connected on-line through LOGarc to LogTech’s public digital log file. Many of these companies also simultaneously access their proprietary log data from their on-site LOGarc implementations or from LogTech’s Data Centre in Calgary.
