U.S. Intermediate Manages Record 2.5 Million Raster Logs with LOGarc

CALGARY, ALBERTA. (May 16, 2008) – LogTech (Canada) Ltd., a leading provider of software and data solutions to the petroleum industry, announced today that a U.S. intermediate has successfully completed its implementation of LOGarc to manage their library of 2.5 million raster log images with their associated depth registration files.

This new LOGarc implementation has logs stored in a distributed environment in four U.S. cities providing fast data access while reducing network traffic. Users are able to locate and access all data from any location in a single view and process. This customer is accessing their data from LOGarc for primary use with the Petra application.

LOGarc is the powerful well log management system designed and developed by LogTech which provides unparalleled ease of access to digital and raster log data, and with its new WELLfile module, any well-related file type.

The product may either be licensed to enable management of data locally at your offices or it may be employed as part of an outsourcing arrangement to have LogTech manage your data in our Data Centre.

LOGarc VE is in use by many oil and gas and service companies throughout the world to manage their log data. This is the very same technology in use today by hundreds of LogTech log data subscribers providing them with fast Internet access to LogTech’s high quality database of more than 8,500,000 curves on Canadian wells (April 2008).
